Complete Simulation for Interlocking
Infrastructure and Train Operation
APR’s Signalling System Analyser (SSA) simulates and tests existing
or proposed signalling arrangements such as track junctions, associated
crossovers and track sections and determines the effect these arrangements
have on train operations.
Using the analysis tools developed specifically for the SSA, signalling
designers and train operators can plan for future changes or upgrades
to their existing operation and model the impact of timetable changes
or new installations on train running.
SSA analysis can also support temporary changes to the layout of
rail infrastructure including track and signalling alterations. |
Ordinary Data, Extraordinary Results
The SSA makes use of the track circuit details and associated locking
tables for specific track layouts and is driven by either event
or timetable input. The movement of trains across the signalling
arrangement
is plotted and recorded using the specific details of the train
type and characteristics.
Outputs include a visual track layout display showing train movement,
train-graph-style displays, and event recorder or exception reports.
The SSA can also generate 3D and 2D rendered video to simulate
driver line of sight and determine optimal conditions for signal
sighting.
