A Single tool for every configuration

The environment of a rail / road level crossing dictates the choice and functionality of signalling equipment. Automatic level crossing predictor equipment is readily available in the marketplace, but traditionally these products are designed to address issues in isolation only. Incompatibility emerges as disparate predictor technology and signalling infrastructure is applied in an ad hoc fashion over time. Asia Pacific Rail has invested in sophisticated research and development in order to identify and resolve adverse influences and conditions for the effective operation of level crossing predictors.

LX SimuTest uses computer simulation, emulation, onsite signalling infrastructure and testing equipment to assess and analyse the performance of level crossing signalling equipment. Portable and easy to use, LX SimuTest can be applied at the workbench or at the level crossing site.

Flexible tools, accurate results

LX SimuTest can be used to monitor the operation of an existing level crossing, or to simulate functionality and parameters for a range of scenarios. Both trains and track can be simulated. For track simulation, specific field parameters can be defined, including the position of ends of the track circuit, the level crossing dimensions and position, driver notice board position and the points at which electrical connections are made. Train motion parameters, including position, position of speed variation, line speed, acceleration and train length, can be used in LX SimuTest train simulations.
