APR and the Community

As part of our commitment to best practice and corporate excellence, Asia Pacific Rail is pleased to support the community at large. Through a range of corporate sponsorships APR is able to help various worthy organisations develop and flourish. Community partnerships not only assist these organisations in their endeavours, but also reward our staff with the inspiration that their work, knowledge and skills have culminated in a charitable contribution. Recognising the significance of corporate responsibility, APR wishes to develop its community policy in an ongoing fashion.

Orchestra Victoria:

Orchestra Victoria performs with Opera Australia and The Australian Ballet for 360,000 people each year. As a Principal Corporate Sponsor,APR assists the virtuoso group to enjoy every possible success.

Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne:

APR makes regular donations to the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne, especially for research into Ovarian Cancer.

Shrine of Remembrance:

APR Chief Executive Officer, Colonel John Wertheimer AM, is actively involved in the development of the Melbourne Shrine of Remembrance undercroft. As a Trustee of the Shrine, John has made an integral contribution to the development of this Australian memorial.

Royal Australian Engineers Foundation:

APR is heavily involved in supporting the RAE Foundation and its activities, including the publication of History of the Royal Australian Engineers - 1945-1972; Volume Four.
