A message from the Chief Executive Officer

The first thing that is always noticeable upon visiting Asia Pacific Rail over the past 10 years is the friendly attitude of staff, and the camaraderie between the professionals that go to make up APR. I have held a long association with APR since the early 1990's and have watched John Wertheimer grow the company into what it is today; a specialist rail technical consultancy that is respected for the quality and delivery of its work all over Australia.

In 2007 APR was acquired by Coffey International, an increasingly global supplier of technical and project solutions in a number of diverse earth science, engineering and management fields. Coffey is currently setting its goals and objectives for the next phase of its development and growth. The acquisition of APR was Coffey's first step into the transport engineering sector, and this facet of the Coffey Group will grow under APR's influence. APR will continue to grow the Coffey skill base capacity and capability to meet the expanding challenge of delivering better, sustainable transport solutions.

APR has a proud tradition of diversity in our projects and excellence in our delivery. We have changed the landscape for rail in Australia and we are breaking new ground for the rail industry globally with our research and development programs. I encourage you to take a few moments to explore this site, with particular attention to our extensive portfolio and technology pages.

I am excited about APR's future, and the role we play in delivering world class engineering solutions for our changing world. The globe now demands more efficient, environmentally sustainable and socially progressive transport solutions and APR will continue delivering on these requirements.
